We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, multi-talented individual to help with our residential power generation business. HVAC installers/technicians have proved to be a good fit for this position. We install and service Generac and Kohler generators. The candidate will need to lead the efforts associated with the new installations of Generac and Kohler generators. Experience with installing generators, related equipment, or mechanical gas piping work is required. The ideal candidate should be able to: • Manage installation inventory (generator accessories, gas piping materials, electrical materials) • Keep the installation equipment and vehicle/trailer clean and organized • Prepare and upfit generators and transfer switches in the workshop • Prepare the job site and install the generator • Startup and commission generators • Use your smartphone to setup and connect the generators to WIFI • Teach and explain to the customer how the generator system functions • Hand dig and machine trench for both gas and electrical • Properly make natural gas and LP gas connections between the Gas meter/regulator and the generator • Drive and maneuver trailers in residential settings. A valid driver’s license is mandatory. • Work occasional overtime to ensure the job is completed before leaving the jobsite • Participate in manufacturer training to stay up to date with the products we install and service The best candidate will have to be ready to dive in and learn a variety of skills and tasks.
